All file formats must have a minimum of 300 dpi (dot per inch) resolution. The images designed for the web have a los screen resolution of 72 dpi. Print images will need to be created at 300 dpi or there will be a substantial drop in the image quality.
We accept the following file formats; TIFF, JPG, PNG, AI, PSD, PDF.
Fonts must be embedded in PDF files. Some fonts have copyright restrictions and will not embed in PDF files. Embed all images and outline text in illustrator files, or pdf files. QuarkXpress: Fonts and images must be included with all files submitted (MAC ONLY)
All color artwork and/ or images must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color mode. All black and white artwork and/or images must be provided in grayscale mode. HEAVY BLACK INK MAY CAUSE SMEARING.
Please allow the accurate cutting tolerance around your design. We do not recommend borders due to possible shifting in the cutting process, which may cause borders to appear uneven.
Bleed and what is it?
Bleed is the portion of the product that will be trimmed off when it its cut to final size. Bleed ensures continuation of colors, images, and designs, past the final trim size to prevent imperfections from possible cutting shifts. Please build your print ready digital files by adding the appropriate bleed. We require ALL files to be built to the full bleed dimensions specified for each trim size.
SAFE ZONE – This will be the blue line on the templates. This needs to be 1/8th inch in from the edge of the art board.
TRIM LINE – This is the edge of the art board.
BLEED ZONE – This needs to be 1/8th inch out from the edge of the art board.
NLG PRINTING WILL NOT COLOR CHECK CUSTOMER PROVIDED ART UNLESS SPECIFIED BY THE CLIENT. BY SUBMITTING CUSTOMER PROVIDED ART THE CLIENT UNDERSTANDS THAT ANY “ART ISSUES” ARE THAT OF THE CLIENT. WHEREAS, IT IS ALSO UNDERSTOOD THAT DELAY IN THE ART PROCESS WILL ALSO DELAY THE PRODUCTION TIME BY APPROX: 8 TO 12 HOURS.
